Construction, Installer/Contractor
03/06/2007
In March 2007, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) Board of Commissioners adopted a policy of expedited permitting for buildings that are designed to meet USGBC Leadership in Energy and Envrionmental Design (LEED) Silver standards. The policy provides for expedited processes for water and electrical connections for new construction or for building retrofits. When applications are submitted to the LADWP, any projects that meet the LEED silver standard will be labeled "Green Building" and will receive priority treatment. The LADWP will also work with applicants to find other incentives to assist the project. More information is available on the LADWP New Installation web site and in the press release.
